SAC Arts presents…a monthly online exhibition
Gabriella Kohr
Gabriella grew up on the East Coast in a little beach town called Bethany Beach. Gabriella’s work depicts an accumulation of illustrative images created from her mind. She draws from the people places and things she admires daily. She received her BFA from Laguna College of Art & Design in the spring of 2020.
My work is a reflection of what I see and experience daily. Painted fragmentations of my observations from life. A majority of my work consists of complex yet harmonious stories told in a painting with the people, places and things that I admire in my life. An exploration of my mind and how these constructed beings and things that surround me influence my aesthetic and point of view. My work ranges in scale from small to larger then life size. My work is mostly painted from life as I see it. Without the constriction of having to base my work off a photo or pixelated image on a screen it allows for me to explore a more expressive and direct painting process.
